Introducing, why we built this
Name something you do manually in Salesforce that you wish you could do faster.
Traction Complete started solving these common data problems in 2014 as part of the now Salesforce-acquired Traction on Demand consulting firm.
Our customers kept struggling with the same data management challenges. Understanding the problems these RevOps leaders faced, we built solutions around what they needed to grow, scale their business faster, and take control of their day.
Here’s why we built custom time zones for multi-SLA timers as a response to people who were dealing with this real-wold challenge in RevOps.
Time zones: Multiple-SLA timers
What we built: A way to track and measure time zones with a multi-SLA timer, all in one place, where sales reps work.
Why we built it: Measuring SLAs isn’t an out-of-the-box feature in Salesforce and needs to be custom-built. Who’s got the time and budget for that?
Many teams we speak to are focused on centralizing their reports in Salesforce itself, so everyone can track what is and isn’t working from one central place. SLA-timers can help do this by tracking:
- Lead response time
- Lead conversion time
- Time to first meeting
- Time between Opportunity stages
- Case escalation time
The result is a dashboard visible on the lead record.
Without proper parameters in place, the block keeps ticking and results can be inaccurate. For example, you would have to subtract the hours sales reps aren’t in the office like evenings, weekends, or holidays.
This was something that Gillian Murphy from Gitlab shared as a pain point that she and other globally-sized customers were facing.
“As a remote organization, it’s important for us to have flexibility in sales reps’ time znes to show accurate SLA reporting.”
– Gillian Murphy, Marketing Operations Manager
When a global company has sales reps in multiple time zones, it’s extremely complex to calculate and track working hours and SLAs. What many organizations of this size need when they cross a size or lead threshold is a flexible solution that automatically pauses SLA timers until a rep is back in their respective office.
Working with our team, Gillian provided advice and feedback for improving the SLA timer in Complete Leads so it could evaluate a user’s time zone.
Now companies with sales reps across the world can accurately track their speed-to-lead.
